Directions to Wildside Lodges
From Inverness Airport
Follow the signs for Inverness along the B9039 and A96.
At the second roundabout the supermarket Tesco is on your left.
At the third roundabout continue straight on for the city centre.
Or, to go straight to Wildside, turn left onto the A9 for Perth.
Take the next exit (1/2 mile) for Culloden B9006, turn left at the traffic lights for Inverness and cross back over the A9.
At the roundabout take the second exit left onto the southern ring road B8082.
Follow the ring road for 3miles to the B862 and turn left for Dores 6 miles.
At Dores continue on the B862 to Whitebridge.
Alternatively , turn right onto the B852 along the shores of Loch Ness to Foyers and on to rejoin the B862 to Whitebridge. Both routes are the same distance about 16 miles.
From Inverness Railway or Bus Stations
The railway station is on Academy Street and the bus station is next door. Depending on where your hire car is parked, turn right onto Academy Street. At the last traffic lights turn left, Signposted Dores B862.
Follow the B862 along the river bank and out of Inverness to Dores, 8 miles.
At Dores continue on the B862 to Whitebridge.
Alternatively , turn right onto the B852 along the shores of Loch Ness to Foyers and on to rejoin the B862 to Whitebridge. Both routes are the same distance about 16 miles.
By Road
The best road north is via the M6, A74/ M74 to Glasgow. Here there is a choice.
Easiest Route
For easier driving use the M74, M73, A80, M9, A9 route past Stirling, Perth and Newtonmore.
6 miles before Inverness turn left onto the B851 for Fort Augustus clearly marked. After 14 miles turn left onto the B862 to Whitebridge 9 miles.
Cross the river, the Wildside entrance gate is immediately on your left.
Alternative Route
Alternatively, take the M8 running through Glasgow centre to the Erskine Toll Bridge and cross taking the A82 via Loch Lomond, Crianlarich and Fort William to Fort Augustus.
On entering Fort Augustus turn right at the triangle marked Errogie B862 which leads 9 miles to Whitebridge.
Pass the Whitebridge Hotel, 100 yards further on the right, before the bridge, is the entrance to Wildside.
